As someone who deals day to day with waste management at all levels, I would totally fascinated to understand several things. As a small community already surrounded by a substantial amount of industry, which i must add threatening enough to require a substantial alert system through out the village, why on earth would we want to further destroy our village and marshland with further emissions ? You may say that this would be strictly monitored and regulated by the enviromental department and such bodies, but correct me if I am wrong, do we not already have a new factory just built, not complying with the regulations set down on their planning permission, but to top it, as part of that build was a state of the art emissions purifier.............that was also not installed. Also stated was that these things were specified in order to reduce any impact on the enviroment to the village and the marsh. So......why.....do we want a huge waste recovery plant/incinerator on our doorstep ?................WE DONT !! As an additional slap to the face, there are young and old families in this village that have not been here long, let alone just got onto the housing market. Speaking for myself and most of you, but especially new home owners, what a blow to have purchased your new home, to now realize you are in £20,000 worth of negative equity. Are they going to compensate us for this ? Because of the size of this village, should it not be the time we were looking at DE-COMMISIONING unused and dangerous plants and improving that asthetics of such a small area?, not considering more, and congesting our restricted roads even further. Waste comes with a whole host of issues, right down to the basics, rats, leaching fluids to land and streams, air born emissions, spillages, traffic (even more emissions) health and safety issues, this is just the tip pardon the pun, of the iceberg. Considering the present day enviromental authorities have clamped down and shut many of out disposal sites, compensate new regulations though additional disposal costs, how come we end up with the threat of a new one, are we as a village too small to deserve a standard of living, or are we just so un-gratefull for not welcoming this wonderfull gift to reduce unemployment....arent we so selfish eh, not to worry, we have a good national health service to deal with our complaints of ill health, i believe they have nothing better to do at our local hospital anyway ! In basic terms....we have had enough, we have enough industry right on our doorsteps, we DO NOT want any additional threats to our enviroment or families health...............this is our homes and health you are messing with that takes a lifetime to achieve, dont destroy it for us when im sure a more suitable plots, linked to a mainstream motorways and away from housing. As stated above, the new factory buit was not done so to the specification required, and as part of that trial it was stated the specifications were put in place " to reduce any affect on the delicate marshland enviroment", and is now in the hands of the goverment. That itself highlights the breach and scale of misconduct, so again.......why do we want more industry ?? especially of this kind ???......maybe we should be asking the goverment why this should even be considered when in no doubt it will have further impact
